What to review each year

Medicare plans can change from one year to the next. Premiums, drug lists and provider networks are worth checking every fall, even if you are happy with what you have.

From October 15 to December 7, you can join, switch or drop a Medicare Advantage plan or a Medicare drug plan, and the new coverage starts January 1.

If you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can also switch to another Advantage plan or go back to Original Medicare between January 1 and March 31.

Bring your doctors, your prescriptions and your pharmacy to the conversation. They decide more than the premium does.
